Given:

One quality of wheat at Rs. 9.30 per kg is mixed with another quality at a certain rate in the ratio 8:7. if the mixture so formed be worth Rs. 10 per kg, what is the rate per kg of the second quality of wheat?

Answer:

Rs: 10.80

Explanation:

Let the rate of second quality be xRs. per kg

Ratio = 8:7

(9.30)(8)+(8)(7)= Total rate of the mixture of 2 quality wheat

Total no. of kg's = 7+8=15

 \frac{(9.30)(8) + 7x}{15}  = 10

7x = 75.6

x = 10.8 Rs. rate of second quality of wheat.
