So let's assume that at a time t¹, rhe displacement is A/1.41=A/√2

Putting t=t¹ and x=A/√2 in the equation for SHM, we get

A/√2=A*sin(wt¹)

-> 1/√2=sin(wt¹)

-> wt¹=π/4 or wt¹=3π/4

-> 2πt¹/T = π/4 or 2πt¹/T = 3π/4

-> t¹ = T/8 or T = 3T/8

Hence at times T/4 and 3T/4, the displacement is equal to A/1.41.
