A) Because Total Distance can't be less than Total Displacement and hence Avg Speed is never less than Avg Velocity
B) Because | dv/dt | is the magnitude of acceleration and d|v|/dt is the rate of change of speed. In uniform circular motion, acceleration is not zero. But Speed is constant and hence d|v|/dt is 0.
C) Yes it is possible that instantaneous velocity is not zero even though the average velocity is 0. For Example in Circular Motion.
D) is incorrect because since particle is moving is moving in straight line and for displacement to be zero it must have some -ve acceleration due to which it's instantaneous velocity must be 0 at the point of turning.
