Waste (or wastes) are unwanted or unusable materials. Waste is any substance which is discarded after primary use, or is worthless, defective and of no use. A by-product by contrast is a joint product of relatively minor economic value. A waste product may become a by-product, joint product or resource through an invention that raises a waste product's value above zero.

1.If it is biodegradable, like vegetable peels and leftovers, they can be used as manure, which is useful for the eco system. It also makes up for the components of soil, like humus.
If it is non-biodegradable,like plastic, the will not decompose in soil, pollute the environment, and hazardous to all living organisms
2.Biodegradable waste is a material that can be decomposed by bacteria or other natural organisms by not adding pollution. It is a very good source of fertility. Some examples are vegetable peels, which can be put in a compost pit.
Non-biodegradable waste cannot be broken down by natural organisms and is the main source of plastic. Our best example is plastic, which takes many years to degrade. These non-biodegradable wastes are the main reason for environmental hazards and pollution on land.
Here is your answer....Hope it helps you!
