1/2*base*height

so

area will be 1/2*x*(x+7)

=(x^2+7x)/2

now it is given that area is 30 so

x^2+7x=30*2

ie

x^2+7x-60=0

so

x^2+12x-5x-60=0

(x+12)(x-5)=0

so x=-12,5

-ve value is not possible so x= 5
