Area = length *breadth
Divide the figure into 3 parts....
1st part (the top one) - 1 *5=5cm
3rd part (the bottom one) - 5*1 = 5cm
2nd part (the mid one) - 3 *1 =3cm
Total area =( 5 + 5 + 3)cm
=13cm
