(i)

Given:

⇒ Inner length = 2m.

⇒ Inner breadth = 1.2m.

⇒ Inner height = 0.75m.

Inner volume of the box = length * breadth * height

                                         = 2 * 1.2 * 0.75

                                         = 1.8m^3.

(ii)

Given, thickness of wood = 2.5cm = 0.025m..

Outer length = l + 2w

                     = 2 + 2(0.025)

                     = 2.05 m.

Outer breadth = b + 2w

                       = 1.2 + 2(0.025)

                       = 1.25m.

Outer height = h + 2w

                     = 0.75 + 2(0.025)

                      = 0.8m.

Outer volume of the box = length * breadth * height

                                         = 2.05 * 1.25 * 0.8

                                         = 2.05m^3.

Now,

Volume of wood used = Outer volume - Inner volume

                                      = 2.05 - 1.8

                                      = 0.25 m^3.

Given, cost of 1 m^3 of wood = 5400.

Hence, the total cost of wood required = 5400 * 0.25

                                                                 = 1350.

Therefore, cost required to make the box = 1350.

Hope it helps!
