Height of Tri ABC = √3/2 × side

= √3/2 × 6

= 3√3 units

now , All the 3 smaller triangles will have equal bases that are equal to 6/3 = 2 units

as they have equal bases and have the same height as of bigger triangle ABC ,

area of the shaded triangles will be

2× [ 1/2×b×h]

= 2× [1/2×2×3√3]

= 6√3 unit sq.
