(a) When an unsaturated Hydrocarbon is placed in Bromine Water, the Bromine Water starts to lose its color. This is not the case when a saturated hydrocarbon is taken in the experiment

(b) C2H6 + 3O2 ------------->  CO2 + CO +  3H2O + Heat + Light

(c) When Methane and Chlorine are in the presence of Sunlight, together, then the Hydrogens in Methane, will be substituted by the Chlorine atoms until all of them are Chlorine

CH4 + Cl2 ---------------------------> CH3Cl + HCl

CH3Cl + Cl2 ------------------------> CH2Cl2 + HCl

CH2Cl2 + Cl2 ----------------------> CHCl3 + HCl

CHCl3 + Cl2 ------------------------> CCl4 + HCl

As the Hydrogen atoms are being substituted with a heteroatom, it can be called as a Substitution Reaction
