Answer:

Given -

Kms driven : 100km

Fuel consumed : 8 litres

To find : how much it will travel in 26 litres of fuel

Solution : First of all find out fuel economy of car how much it traveled in 1litre and multiply your answer with 26litres of fuel

Find per litre fuel consumption

Distance Traveled/fuel consumption = Fuel economy

100/8 = 12.5

The car travels 12.5 km in 1litre of fuel.

2. To find distance covered in 26litre

Sincr car can travel 12.5 in 1 litre of fuel

In 26litre it will cover

Fuel consumption X fuel economy per litre = distance traveled

26 X 12.5 = 325

Therefore car can travel 325 kms in 26litres of fuel.

In covering 148 km, a car consumes 8 litres of petrol. How many kilometres will it go on 10 litres of petrol?

A car uses 4 liters of petrol to travel a distance of 80 km. How far will it travel using 25 liters?

A car covers 342 km in 48 litres of petrol. In what distance will it travel in 20 litres of petrol?

A car runs 18 km using 1 litre of petrol. How many litres of petrol will it require to cover a distance of 40 kms?

A car needs 25 litres of petrol to cover a distance of 300 km. How much petrol would it require to cover a distance of 750 km?

It must be 325 kms. Please find my way of calculation below.

With 8 ltrs car goes 100 km. So with 3 times the petrol is 24 ltrs car travels 3 times distance, that is 300 km.

Now 1/4th the petrol is 2 ltrs and car travels 1/4th distance of 25 kms.

So adding 3 times and 1/4 th petrol and distance gives, 26 ltrs of petrol and 325 kms of distance.

100 km divided by 8 litres = 12.5 km/per litre

26 litres x 12.5 km/per litres = 325 km.
