↪We can take example of any number.

↪12 is the predecessor of 13

↪2 is the predecessor of 3

↪7 is the predecessor of 8.

↪In this examples we can see 12 comes before 13 , 2 comes before 3 , 7 comes before 8.

↪In finding the predecessor of any number we will use the formula .

↪P ( n ) = n - 1

↪Where n is a natural number.

↪We can take example of a natural number 5.

↪P (5) = 5 - 1

↪P (5) = 4

↪Hence predecessor of 5 is 4 .
