Let the side of square base of cuboid be x cm
According to question,
volume = 448 cm^3
⇒x×x×7=448
⇒7x^2=448
⇒x^2=4487
⇒x^2=64
⇒x^2=82
∴x=8
Hence side of the square base of cuboidis 8 cm

Let it be X
l x b x h = volume
i) according to the question
=>  X x X x 7 = 448 
=> 7X^2 = 448
=> X^2 = 448 / 7
=> X^2 = 64
=> X = 8
ii) square base = 8x8
                        = 64 cm^2
rectangle side = 7 * 8 
                       =  56cm^2
rectangle sides are 4 
therefore area = 56 * 4
                       = 224cm^2
 square bases are 2 
therefore area = 64 * 2
                        = 128cm^2 
 total surface area = 224 + 128
                              = 352cm^2
