Hey!

★Median for grouped data ★
____________________________________________________________

➖❄Refer the attachment for the detailed solution ❄➖

→ Median is the middle most observation from the set of given observations after arranging them in ascending or descending order .

◾Formula of Median for grouped data :-

 = > l + ( \frac{ \frac{n}{2 } - c.f }{f} ) \times h

•➖Here

★ L = Lower Limit of Median class

★n/2 = The value obtained by dividing the sum of frequency by 2

★c.f = cumulative frequency ( value taken from class proceeding the median class )

★ f = The frequency of the median class

★ h = width of the observation ( Upper Limit - Lower Limit )

_______________

Steps :-

◾Find the cumulative frequencies for each value by adding the frequencies diagonally!

◾Select the median class . ( The class in which median lies )

◾Put the values in the formula and equate them with the median given !

◾We will get the value of 1 variable . Substitute it into the equation made at the initial step!

•°• We get the values

✔ x = 4 and y = 6

Thanks!!
