Answer:

Let the no be 3x and 5x.Then,

3x+10/5x+10 = 5/7

21x+70 = 25x + 50

70-50 = 25x-21x

20 = 4x

20/4 = x

5 = x

hence,

3x= 3×5 = 15

5x = 5×5 = 25

Answer:

The numbers are 15 and 25

Step-by-step explanation:

let the common ratio between 3/5 be x

so the ratio will be as 3x/5x

here when 10 is added to both that is

(3x+10)/(5x+10)

the ratio is equal to :

(3x+10)/(5x+10) =5/7

= 7(3x+10)=5(5x+10)

=21x+70=25x+50

=25x-21x=70-50

4x=20

x=20/4

x= 5

x= 5So, the numbers are

x= 5So, the numbers are 3x = 3×5= 15

x= 5So, the numbers are 3x = 3×5= 155x = 5×5= 25

PROOF:

( 15+10)/(25+10)= 25/35= 5/7 ( when reduced )
