Let the fruit seller has total number of fruits be x.
If he sold 50% of the fruits i.e.
$\frac{50}{100} \times x$
$= \frac{x}{2}$
Remaining fruits = Total fruits - Sold fruits
$= x - \frac{x}{2}$
$= \frac{x}{2}$
Now, he having 320 fruits,
so,
$\frac{x}{2} = 320$
x = 640.

So, total number of fruits he had before selling the fruits = 640.
