hi,
u remember that,
in mathematics a line means,the figure formed by the continuous adjacent positioning of points in a particular direction.
a line in mathematical concept do not have width.( when we draw a line then there will be width, it should not be taken into account,,so please don't confused with it);

U have given the co-ordinates(2,14),since both are positive, the point will fall in first quadrant.

U asked how many lines can be drawn through this point, as line do not have width, the result is infinity.we can't calculate it.
hope now the confusion on width of a line u drawn has been washed out.

By (2,14), you mean (x,y) point on the x-y plane, then there are infinite number of lines passing through this point. Just take graph page, mark the x and y axis and the points on it. now start drawing lines out of it. For example,
if you draw a line passing through origin(0,0) and (2,14), the equation will be : y = 7x
if you draw a line parallel to x-axis ans passing through (2,14), the equation will be : y = 14,
and so on.
It is very simple logic, if you are sitting in a marry go round and are handed a laser pointer and told that you can point it any where yo want as long as it is parallel to the ground, you can point it at infinite places. That is, if the laser ray is a line and there is only one coordinate, that's you who is holding it, and the surface is the x-y plane, you can make infinite lines. Got it.
