Figure refers to the attachment

  • ∠ABp = 135°
  • ∠p = 110°
  • ∠BpX = 55° = ∠XrC

According to the question

→ ∠XrC + ∠YrC = 180° [ Linear pair ]

→ 55° + ∠YrC = 180°

→ ∠YrC = 180° - 55°

→ ∠YrC = 125°

Now,

  • ∠XrC = ∠q = 55° [ Alternate angle ]

→ 55° + ∠BpY = 180° [ Linear pair ]

→ ∠BpY = 180° - 55°

→ ∠BpY = 125°

Focus Zone :

Corresponding angles lie on the same side of the transversal.

Alternate angles lie on the opposite sides of transversal.

★ Two adjacent angles form a linear pair.

★ Two angles formed by the intersection of two lines having a common vertex are called vertically opposite angle.
