Answer:

x=34°,y=115°

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that ABCD is a trapezium

AB||DC, AD is transversal

angle BAD + angle ADC=180°(co interior angle)

(2x-10)°+(3x+20)°=180°

5x+10=180

5x=180-10

5x=170

x=170÷5

x=34°

similarly angle ABC+ angle BCA=180°

65°+y=180°

y=180°-65°

y=115°

Given - ABCD is a trapezium where

AB||DC

To find - values of x and y

Solution - AB||DC and AD is transversal

So,

(2x -10°) + (3x + 20°) = 180°

[Co-interior Angles]

5x + 10° = 180°

5x = 170°

x = 34°

Also, AB||DC and BC is transversal

So,

y + 65° = 180°. [Co-interior Angles]

y = 180° - 65°

y = 115°

Therefore x = 34° and y = 115°

Hope it helps
