Step-by-step explanation:

  • So we have Balu : Peelu
  •                           5 : 8
  • Let salary of balu be 5m
  • Let salary of Peelu be 8m
  • So we get 5m x 40 / 100
  •                          = 2m
  • So we get 8m x 15 / 100
  •                          = 6m/5
  •     So 5m + 2m = 7m
  •       So 8m + 6m/5 = 46 m/5
  • So we have 7m/46m / 5
  •                       7m x 5 / 46 m = 10 : 9
  •                           35 / 46 = 10/9
  • Since we don’t have m, value cannot be determined.
