How is bacterial cell different from onion peel?
Answers
Answer:
Ans :1 Endocytosis is a process in which cells absorb molecules by of engulfing them from external medium. ... This phenomenon is observed in animal cells only as plasma membrane of animal cells is in direct contact external medium. The plant cells are covered with cell wall from outside.
Ans 2: Exosmosis is the process of movement of water molecules from inside to the outside of the cell, where the solution is hypertonic due to the presence of salt and thus by adding salt to the vegetables it releases water.
The same principle is used in pickling, where the mangoes (or any other fruit) are soaked in a hypertonic solution of salt.
Then the mangoes will ooze out water and the cell becomes flaccid. This process is called as an exosmosis.
Ans 3::Bacterial cells are Prokaryotic cells which lack a proper nucleus, and other membrane bound organelles. Whereas, an Onion peel cell is an Eukaryotic..
