But if not careful, people may become victims of online harassment and cyber bullying. It has an impact on our privacy as well. What we share on the Internet may come back haunting us in future and affect our life in a way we would never want to. Social media also tends to hurt one's self-esteem. It increases loneliness and frustration due to inadequacies perceived by comparing themselves to their friends. It also has an impact on productivity, be it a student or an employee.
