Some soaps are exhibited in a shop in 8 rows. In the
bottom row there are 15 soaps,
in the row just above it there are 13 soaps and so on.
a) How many soaps are there in the topmost row?
b) What is the total number of soaps?

(a) there is 1 soap in the top most row

(b) total number of soaps =

15+13+11+9+7+5+3+1

=64
