→ Let the sale price of bicycle be x

→ VAT charged was = 10 %

→ Cost price of bicycle = x + 10 % of x

→ 660 = x + 0.10x

→ 660 = 1.10x

→  $x = \frac{660}{1.10} = 600$

∴ The price of bicycle before VAT was added was Rs 600
