\large{\underline{\boxed{\mathrm\gray{\:Question\:Tag}}}}

Sometimes when we need to ask for confirmation of our statement, we add a QUESTION TAG. A question tag is a 'Mini Question' at the end of a statement.

  • This tag consists of an Auxiliary ( or helping ) Verb + Subject

_______________________________

With a positive statement, we use a negative question tag.

  •  \small \mathtt \orange { This\:statement \:is\:positive, Isnt\:it?}

  • They are coming, Aren't they?

________________________________

With negative statement, we use a positive question tag.

  •  \small \mathtt \green { This\:statement \:isnt\:positive, Is\:it?}

  • They aren't coming home, are they?

_________________________________

⚠️ CAUTION :

The verb in the question tag should be same as the verb in the sentence.
