from (1) and (2)

⇒160=1600−80h

⇒80h=1600–160=1440

∴h=18 cm

Thus the length of hypotenuse is 18 cm.

Answer :

  • Height of right angled traingle is 2.85 cm.

Given :-

  • Area of triangle = 40 cm²
  • Base of traingle (b) = 28 cm²
  • Type of traingle = Right angled traingle

To Find :-

  • Height of triangle (h) ?

Solution :-

  • Here we are using formula of area of right angled traingle to find out its height.

We know that,

  • Area of = ½ × b × h

Where,

  • b denotes base of
  • h denotes height of

According to the question :

We have,

  • Base = 28
  • Area = 40 cm²
  • We have to find height of (h)

• Putting all values in formula,

➻ 40 = ½ × 28 × h

➻ 40 = 14 × h

➻ 40/14 = h

➻ 2.85 = h

h = 2.85 cm

  • Hence, height of right angled traingle is 2.85 cm.
