$\bf \maltese \;\; Area\;of\;rectangle = lb$

• l is length

• Length will be ‘5x’  
• Breadth will be ‘x’  

Finding the length and breadth ::  

$\sf \implies 2( 5x +x ) = 420$  

$\sf \implies 10x + 2x = 420$ 

$\sf \implies 12x = 420$ 

$\sf \implies x = \dfrac{420}{12}$

$\sf \implies x = 35$

$\sf \leadsto Length = 175\;m$  

$\sf \leadsto Breadth = 35\;m$

 

Finding the Area ::  

$\sf \implies 175\;m \times 35\; m$  

$\sf \leadsto Area = 6125\;m^{2}$

Perimeter = 420m

Breadth = 74m

length = x

Perimeter = 74+74+x+x = 420

148+2x = 420

2x = 420-148

2x=272

x=272/2

x= 136

Length = 136m

Area = l*b

136*74 = 10064m²
