Question :

The power of a crane is 25000 watt. Calculate the time required by it to lift a load of 6000 kg up to the height of 20 metres.

Power=25000Watt

Mass=6000kg
height=20mtr

Work done=mgh
=>6000×9.8×20
= 1176000J

Power=Work/Time
25000=1176000/time
time=1176000/25000
time=47.04sec

Power = w/t

W= work done
W=mgh
Power = work done / time
P = mgh / time

25,000 = 6,000*20/t

25,000 = 120000/t

Time = 1,20,000/25,000

Time = 4.8 =5 ans
