1. Find the values of 'x' and 'y, if: (3x + 1, 2y - 7) = (9,-9)​

Answer:

Given that,

    3x + 1 = 9

=> 3x = 9 - 1

=>  x = 8/3 = 2.67 (2.66...)

and,

     2y - 7 = -9

=> 2x = -9 + 7

=>  x = -2/2 = -1
