Hey,
Your answer,
>> The Difference
=> Socialism and Democracy cannot be termed together. They're like day and night if compared. It is so because the term socialism deals with the economy and it's systems which in turn defines the manner of production and distribution of various produced goods among people so as to serve one's society of any country. It is all emphasized on the collective ownership of the products.
- On the other hand, Democracy is a political term, perhaps a political ideology. It is all related about the formation of systems and government and their functioning patterns and all. It usually promotes the rights about one's own development. But in some circumstances, a socialist society can become a socialist democracy and vise versa as in the case of democracy.
>> China and Democracy
India being the second ranked country is the world's largest democratic country whereas China, being the leader isn't one. The question will surely arise that why isn't China a such kind of democratic country? Well, here are the reasons.
> Democracy has its meaning as holding one's particular rights like right to vote, universal franchise and right of speech etc. But, the citizens of China aren't limited to the right of speech. They don't have it. Reason could be like :- China is all based on a single political party which has been ruling for years now. Unlike India, they don't have such major number of policitical parties.
> China is also said to hold democracy until it was 1949. It lost its civil war, forcing it turn to a communist country.
>> More reasons that China can't be a democratic country as the literacy rate is low, because there are a number of uneducated farmers. They don't even know how to choose a right candidate. And, single political party leadership is also written in their constitution. Even if they try to be a democratic country, they can't be one ever again.
