The multicolored arc of a rainbow is produced by sunlight striking raindrops beneath a rain cloud.

light refract when it passes through drop of water . each colour of light refract at a different angle

violet bends more than blue and Blue bends more than green and so on.

red colour refract least

if sunlight enters a raindrop at just the proper angle it refract and its many colours spread into a visible array

when sunlight refracted through billions of raindrops forms a rainbow .

red is outside colour and violet is inside colour
