lingnin is a polymer resulting from the oxidative coupling of primarily three p-hydroxycinnamyl alcohols ( monolignols ) : p - courmaryl , coniferyl and sinapyl alcohols. lignin is deposited mainly in tracheids , vessels, fibre of xylem and phloem and sclerenchyma .
