When porecelain objects are wrapped in paper or straw, the time of impact between themselves is very much increased during sudden break in transportation F = ΔP/Δt
As Δt ---> increased F ----> ΔP/Δt
Hence, force on the porcelains is reduced during transportation and saves them from breakage.
