Bohr's model is the modification of earlier model of Rutherford. Some people call Bohr's model as the Rutherford bohar Model.

MERITS:-
1.)It describes most of the accepted features of atomic theory without the high level math of the modern version.
2.) Bohr's model explain the Rydberg formula for the spectral emission lines of hydrogen atom.
3.) electron Orbit the nucleus Inorbit that has a set size and energy.
4.) the radius of the possible orbits increase as N2, Where n is the principal quantum number.
5.) Bohr's model is a planetary model , in which the negatively charged electron orbit a small, A positively charged nucleus . Similar to the planets revolving around the sun.

DEMERITS:-
1 .) it violates the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle because it considered electron to have both known radius and orbit.
2.) this model provides an incorrect value for the ground state orbital angular momentum .
3.) it makes poor predication regarding the Spectre of large atoms.
4.) it does not predicate the relative intensity of spectral lines.
5.) it does not explain the zeeman effect.
