• The formula is $H_{2}SO_{4}$ and is acidic in nature which shows a pH of 1.
• Being acidic in nature, it turns the blue litmus to red.
• In one of its most familiar applications, sulphuric acid serves as the electrolyte in lead-acid storage batteries.
• In various concentrations, the acid is used in the manufacture of fertilizers, pigments, dyes, drugs, explosives, detergents, and inorganic salts and acids.
