Question1. The seat belts are provided in the cars so that if the car stops

suddenly due to an emergency braking, the persons sitting on the front

seats are not thrown forward violently and saved from getting injured.

It states that a body which is in motion remains in motion unless and until it is brought under the action of any other force

In the above mentioned case the persons sitting in the car are also moving with the car . When the breaks on the car are applied the car stops the moving but the persons are still in motion due to which they get themselves injured

Thus seat belts are used so hat the persons who are in motion come to rest and they do not get injured
