1 . The tissues in which all the cells are identical in shape and function are known as simple permanent tissues. They are of three types: Parenchyma, Collenchyma and Sclerenchyma.

2. The cells which have the ability to divide in plants is known as meristematic cells. One of the meristematic cell is known as apical meristem which is found in the tip of root and shoot.

3. Among the simple permanent tissues in plants , sclerenchyma which have thick lignified walls forms husks of coconut.

4. Phloem, a complex permanent tissue included in the vascular bundle have different type of cells. They are : Sieve tubes, Companion cells, phloem parenchyma and phloem fibres .
