Answer:

1. Metals and Non-metals chemical different.

Metals:-

  • Metals form basic oxides.
  • Metals displace hydrogen from water(or steam)
  • Metals displace hydrogen from dilute acids.
  • Metal form iconic chlorides with chlorine..

Non-metals:-

  • Non-metals form acidic oxides or neutral oxides.
  • Non-metals does not react with water (or steam)
  • Non-metals do not react with dilute acids.
  • Non-metals form covalent chlorides with chlorines,

2. Metals and Non-metals physical different.

Metals:-

  • Malleable and ductile.
  • Good conductor of heat and electricity.
  • High melting point.
  • High density.

Non-metals:-

  • Brittle
  • Poor conductor of heat and electricity.
  • Low melting point.
  • Low density.

3. When a piece of sodium dropped in water:-

When sodium is dropped in water , it's react expolsively and burn with a golden yellow frame .

The reaction is exothermic and vigourus . It form sodium hydroxide wth the liberation of hydrogen gas.
