The rules are as follows:

  • All non-zero integers are significant.
  • Training Zeros are significant.

  • All zeroes b/w non-zero integers are significant.
  • All the digits are significant if they come from a measurement.
  • All zeroes to the right of a non-zero integer but to the left of a decimal point are significant.
  • All zeroes to the right of a decimal point but to the left of a non-zero digit are not significant.
