Q.56 ) If the length and breadth of a rectangle are 36 cm and 24 cm respectively . Find ;

a) Perimeter of the rectangle

b) Area of the rectangle

Given :- In a rectangle , Length = 36 cm , Breadth = 24 cm

To find :- Perimeter and Area

Solution :- Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth )

= 2 ( 36 + 24 )

= 2 ( 60 )

$\small \red { = 120 cm}$

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

= 36 × 24

$\small \red {= 864 sq.cm}$

Therefore , Perimeter and Area of the rectangle is 120 cm and 864 sq.cm respectively .
