Step-by-step explanation:

Milk in 1st Jar = 3 x 25/100 = 3/4 liters

Milk in 2nd Jar = 5 x 75/100 = 15/4 liters

Required answer = { ( 3/4 + 15/4 )/10} x100

= 18/( 4 x 10 ) x 100

=

= 45% (Ans )

The percentage of paint in the tank is 45%.

Given:

Two cisterns having a capacity of 3 and 5 litres respectively are filled with mixtures of paint and oil. In the smaller cistern, 25% of the mixture ipath and in the larger 25% of the mixture is oil. The cisterns are emptied into a 1o-litre tank whose remaining capacity is filled up with oil.

To Find:

The percentage of paint in the.

Solution:

To find the per cent the age of paint in the tank we will follow the following steps:

As given their question,

The total capacity of the f first cistern = 3 litres

Percentage of paint in the first cistern =

25\% \: of \: total \: capacity =  \frac{25}{100}  \times 3 =  \frac{3}{4}

The total capacity of the second cistern = is 5 litres

Percentage of paint in the second cistern =

75\% \: of \: total \: capacity =  \frac{75}{100}  \times 5 =  \frac{15}{4}

Because 25% is oil and 75% is paint.

Now,

Total paint percentage in 10-litre tank =

 (\frac{3}{4}  \times 10 +  \frac{15}{4}×10 )× 100 = 180 ÷ 4 = 45%

Henceforth, the percentage of paint in the tank is 45%.
