★ Shimla is cooler than Delhi because of high altitude.

★ Mangalore lies on the coastal areas and so it has a moderating influence of the sea.

★ Coromandel coast gets rain in winter due to the northeast monsoon which pics of moisture from the Bay of Bengal.

★ As the south east monsoon travels from east to west they loose moisture and so Patna being located on the Eastern side of Delhi receives more rainfall .

★ Punjab gets rain in winter due to the temperate cyclones which is more intense in the winter season .

★ Kochi has a lesser annual range of temperature then Agra because Agra is far away from the moderating influence of the sea.
