  1. In N shell 8 electrons can be filled and it is given that in M shell half of N's electrons are present therefore valence shell will have 4 electrons in M shell. Therefore, 2,8,4 and at. no. is 14
  2. Since it is given it is diatonic cation therefore valence shell will have 2 more or less electrons than 8. Also, given it is cation so it will loose electrons and hence, it has 2 more electrons in its L shell. Therefore whatever you got is absolutely correct.
  3. In the same way, Trivalent anion is given therefore three less than 8 that is, (5) electrons are present in L shell..
