Answer:

Metals and non-metals are substances that can be differentiated on the basis of various physical and chemical properties. Metals are the elements that are generally hard as strong metallic bond exists between the atoms. ... While the elements with 4, 5, 6 or 7 electrons in their outermost shell are known as non-metals.

Hey mate! Here is your answer;

Metals are hard substances that remain in solid state at room temperature (except Mercury, it is a liquid at room temp.), they are generally shiny.

They possess metallic bonds among their in a solid piece of zinc, there would be metallic bonds between atoms of zn-zn. metallic bonds are a different class of bonds which are which are separate from covalent, ionic or co-ordinate Bonds.

Metals are found in the centre of periodic table. S, D and F blocks of periodic table possessed by metals. D block is in the centre of the periodic table, while block is at the bottom of periodic table drawn separately.

P block is processed by non-metals. p

block consists of few semi metals or metalloids also.

nonmetals are found in all the three

states ( solid, liquid, gas) at room temperature.

Seventeen elements are generally classified as nonmetals; most are gases (hydrogen, helium , nitrogen , oxygen, fluorine, neon, chlorine, argon, Krypton, xenon, and radon); one is a liquid (bromine), and if

few are solids(carbon, Phosphorus, Sulphur, selenium, and iodine).

metals and nonmetals are the two two classes of elements. so there is no point

of similarity between them. both have different chemical and physical properties and behaviours.

I hope it helps you....

peace ✌
