The Final push for the India movement was launched in response to the Cripp's mission of 1942 during the height of the World War II. Cripp's had prepared a proposal to be presented to the Congress Party representing the Hindu Majority and Mr. Jinnah representing the Muslim Minority.
Cripp's wanted complete support of the war effort from Indian leaders and in response, promised self-governance and dominion status to India in the aftermath of the War.
Congress party rejected the idea and the whole of the party members were imprisoned. After the war ended, the congress party moved eagerly for independence and Jinnah responded by working on Pakistan.
