Many animal species are becoming endangered or are on the verge of extinction or have been extinct.

• There is a continuous loss of habitat of wild animal species due to which they do not have places to live. These places are destroyed continuously and have been used for farming and gazing purpose.
• Over Exploitation of many species because of human welfare. Fishes and other marine animals are over-harvested. Similarly, many terrestrial animals are overused for the human diet.
• The species in nature are directly or indirectly connected to each other. Due to this, the loss of even one species from the food chain disturbs the whole food web. And leads to the extinction of other species also which depend on it.
• Also, pollution and global warming have caused much damage. Due to this, many endemic species are on the verge of extinction.
