Solution :-

→ Total milk he sells = 100 litre .

so,

→ Milk he sells of first type = 100 * (3/8) = 37.5 litre

and,

→ Milk he sells of second type = 100 * (5/8) = 62.5 litre .

now,

→ CP of 1 litre milk of first type = Rs.20

then,

→ CP of 37.5 litre milk of first type = 20 * 37.5 = Rs.750

and,

→ CP of 1 litre milk of second type = Rs.30

then,

→ CP of 62.5 litre milk of second type = 30 * 62.5 = Rs.1875

then,

→ Total CP of 100 litres of milk = 1875 + 750 = Rs.2625

now,

→ SP of 1 litre of milk = Rs.40

→ SP of 100 litres of milk = 40 * 100 = Rs.4000 .

therefore,

→ Total profit milkman earned daily = SP - CP = 4000 - 2625 = Rs.1375 (Ans.)
