a) Kalidasa was a Classical Sanskrit writer, widely regarded as the greatest poet and dramatist in the Sanskrit language. His plays and poetry are primarily based on the Indian Puranas. Kalidasa is called as India's Shakespeare. We hear this statement whenever people speak about Kalidasa.

b) Muhammad Iqbal, widely known as Allama Iqbal, was born on November 9, 1877, in Sialkot, Punjab. A poet and philosopher, Iqbal is remembered for his famous poem 'Sare Jahan se Accha' that remains one of the most prominent patriotic poems in Urdu which is used as a marching composition at a number of national events.
