When Muhammad Ghori returned back to Ghor, He appointed Qutub-ud-din Aibak as his viceroy in India. Aibak was originally a Turkic slave of Ghori but Ghori appointed him as A general in his army because of his Excellent services. Aibak helped him In defeating the Rajput Kings. Aibak led invasions into Gangentic Plains of India and established control over some of the new areas. He was an excellent warrior and was given the Title of Malik by Ghori.
