Magnetic field lines are the imaginary lines which connects both the poles of a magnet and defining the area of influence of a magnet

a.If the Iines inter sect each other they will have two different tangents which means two different magnetic direction in same magnet which is not possible.

b.As there are two poles in a magnet which are connected by magnetic field line not only outside the magnet but also inside the magnet which forms closed curves of magnetic field line starting from North pole to South pole which are concentrated at poles and very little dense in the middle.
