Explanation:

S  +  O2  →  SO2

moles of S =  16/32 = 0.5

from equation ,     1 mole S = 1 mole SO2

therefore 0.5 mole S = 0.5 mole SO2

mass of SO2 produced = 0.5 * 64

= 32 g
